Anoko House
Inaugural History Makers Brunch
February 2019
Harlem, New York
Work in Progress joined Anoko in their announcement of plans to build Anoko House (an art-inspired co-working space and members club that celebrates and supports people of the global African diaspora), at their inaugural History Maker's Brunch. For this special event, hosted in a Harlem brownstone, we curated works from Genesis Tramaine, a Brooklyn-born artist specializing in expressive abstract portraiture.

Tramaine turns her eye to men and women who transcend gender, color, and social structures, using a mixture of collage, acrylic and oil based paint. She is represented by Richard Beavers Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.

Other artists featured in the program: Oye Diran, Shawn Theodore, Sylvia Maier
